MAC Address: The Media Access Control address or hardware address of a device connected to a network.

Macro: A macro is compiled set of commands where instead of typing a complicated sequence of commands over and over you can simply run the macro.

Malware: Malware is short for malicious software. It is software designed specifically to corrupt/infect a computer system. A trojan horse, a worm, or a virus are considered Malware.

MAPI: MAPI is an acronym for Messaging Application Programming Interface which allows client programs to become (electronic mail) messaging-enabled.

Master Boot Record: The first sector of a bootable hard drive. The MBR contains the code used to load the operating system into memory and the partition table of that hard drive.

Megabyte: An amount of computer memory consisting of about one million bytes. The actual value is 1,048,576 bytes.

Megapixel: A unit equal to one million pixels. The higher the resolution, the more pixels in an image providing a greater the image quality.
